Righteous Kill trailer
May. 23, 2008
The Robert De Niro and Al Pacino movie RIGHTEOUS KILL has gotten itself another trailer. You can check it out over HERE. The film stars the two screen legends as detectives on the trail of a spate of vigilante killings. Jon Avnet (88 MINUTES) directs from a script by Russell Gerwitz (INSIDE MAN).
Personally, I'd love for this film to be great based purely on the fact that it's Pacino and De Niro. Plus, Carla Gugino is real, real easy to look at. But the bad early screening buzz, combined with how horrible 88 MINUTES was would be enough to kill a Scarlett Johansson/Angelina Jolie movie called THE BLOWJOB BITCHES. Unfortunately I've lost pretty much all of my interest in this film. Plus, I don't think at any point I saw Pacino yelling at anybody. I mean, what the hell's that about?

He made some great Boomtown series episodes, but 88 minutes was such a bad movie. And I don't mean by bad what everyone else is saying when they say a movie is bad. 99,9% of people dont get whats bad and what not and they just rate their personal opinion. And I'm not talking about if you liked or not. It just was bad moviemaking every second.
FUUUCK.

But look what a good song can do the images it accompanies. The 2nd half of the trailer is a lot better than the first because instead of some generic hip hop beat it has the Rolling Stones playing. It sort of reminded me (just in tone not quality) to The Departed trailer with Gimme Shelter by the Stones.

And who is still interested in de Niro, whose credits include, these past years, masterpieces such as Meet the Fockers, Godsend, Analyse that, Showtime, Hide and seek, Men of honor, 15 minutes, Flawless, The Adventures of Rocky & Bullwinkle,...
