Former wild man and current reformed eccentric Mickey Rourke recently sat down with the folks over at the Guardian to discuss his life and the amazing trajectory it’s taken that, lucky for us, includes a major role in the currently filming IRON MAN 2 as Tony Stark’s armor-suited nemesis Whiplash (or is it a Whiplash/Crimson Dynamo hybrid or something?). He didn’t really get into spoiler material but he did reveal that he didn’t half-ass the Russian angle in the least. In fact, “I decided to do half my role in Russian, and that’s hard because the Russian language doesn’t roll off the English-speaking tongue very easily. I spent three hours a day with a teacher, and after two weeks I know four sentences! Let me see, it’s sort of like… ‘Yezzamee menya… Yezzamee manya obott… Er, nemaboootty menya…” Click HERE to find out what that last bit means. Tony Stark’s second (hopefully) booze-filled adventure begins May 7th, 2010.
