Rudd and Carell's meal gets surreal in the new Dinner for Schmucks trailer

Every summer needs at least one good dirty comedy -- will DINNER FOR SCHMUCKS find the same wide audience as last year's raunchy THE HANGOVER? Putting ANCHORMAN and 40 YEAR OLD VIRGIN co-stars Steve Carell and Paul Rudd back together is certainly a step in the right direction...

SCHMUCKS (loosely remade from the French comedy THE DINNER GAME) comes from director Jay Roach, who knows rude-and-crude territory from AUSTIN POWERS and MEET THE PARENTS. Compared to the previous trailer, this new one goes all-out with the weirdness, but a cast like that better be able to deliver some laughs.

The synopsis: Tim (Rudd) is a guy on the verge of having it all. The only thing standing between him and total career success is finding the perfect guest to bring to his boss' annual Dinner for Extraordinary People, an event where the winner of the evening brings the most eccentric character as his guest. Enter Barry (Carell), a guy with a passion for dressing mice up in tiny outfits to recreate great works of art.

Extra Tidbit: Apparently "schmuck" is also a Yiddish term for penis. Which makes the title translate to DINNER FOR YIDDISH FOR PENISES.
