Yes, ROBIN HOOD may look like two of Ridley Scott's previous period epics smashed together (GLADIATOR and KINGDOM OF HEAVEN), but I maintain that's not such a bad thing.

In this new short Superbowl spot for the film, we actually get to see a lot of new footage, and it clues us in that this is before Robin's Sherwood Forest days, hence all the beach warfare. Some of the lines are a bit iffy, ("Are you ready to be who you are?"), but I have hope this will be pretty damn good when all is said and done.

Check it out below or in HD over at Yahoo!

Extra Tidbit: I mean even the war dog from GLADIATOR is back, come on.

Dunno whats with all the bashing, because I for one am pretty excited to see a new Robin Hood flick. I like this TV spot, shows sweet new footage, and I'm ready to watch this badboy rock the casbah

Is it me, or isn't Robin hood supposed to be leading a "band of merry men"... not an ARMY? How do you hide in the woods with a thousand men?

Medieval Scott is great, but...
"are you ready to be who you are"??? the rest of the lines had better be less ridiculous...

I just don't know. So far it doesn't have me all that impressed. I love action so I will see it but I think I'll wait for word of mouth before I ticket this one.

Thought the previous trailer was awesome. This one is pretty lame. Still, an antipodean playing Robin Hood is usually a good sign!

Love it!
Looks like another Ridley Scott epic and I'm very excited to see the final product.

Cate Blanchett looks gorgeous as well!
