Ryan Reynolds shares photo reacting to the Death of Deadpool

04.08.2015

Deadpool may be alive and well in his upcoming feature film but in the funny-pages, he is most definitely an ex-Deadpool. Issue #45 of Deadpool hit the streets today and features the well publicized demise of the character. Ryan Reynolds, currently filming DEADPOOL in Vancouver, took some time out to poke fun at the event by throwing this image up on his Twitter:

Has anyone ever actually believed it when Marvel or DC has announced the death of one of their characters? We all know they'll be back and Deadpool will be no different; it's just a matter of how soon and when. Thankfully we have the film to look forward to as well as more peeks at Ryan Reynolds in that fantastic looking costume.

The official synopsis of DEADPOOL:

Based upon Marvel Comics’ most unconventional anti-hero, DEADPOOL tells the origin story of former Special Forces operative turned mercenary Wade Wilson, who after being subjected to a rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers, adopts the alter ego Deadpool. Armed with his new abilities and a dark, twisted sense of humor, Deadpool hunts down the man who nearly destroyed his life.

Ryan Reynolds periodically fields serious inquiries from fans and just recently responded to a question asking how he breathes in his Deadpool suit:

Truly fascinating, I'll have to try that. DEADPOOL opens February 12, 2016.

Reynolds was born to play Deadpool

If the movie is HALF as good as the marketing campaign thus far, we're in for a real treat.

So Marvel are really killing off the characters they don't have movie rights to...Very annoying.

This is hilarious.

Is anyone else finding it absolutely knee slappingly hysterical that Marvel has been killing off all the characters Fox owns the option rights to in the comics? First they ended the Fantastic Four franchise, then they killed Wolverine, now Deadpool... I'm telling you, expect a comic within the next year or so that involves the mass genocide of every mutant character in the Marvel comic universe.

Everything about this film has looked and sounded great thus far. Still pumped that it's going to be R Rated.

And it's great to read and see how excited and dedicated Reynolds is in giving us fans the best Deadpool film he can.

Is that the actual origin?

I'm not actually a Deadpool reader, so I don't know how he came to be. I've loved his appearances in animated movies and TV shows, but never got around to getting any of the comics. But coming from a place of barely knowing anything about the character, I think they've been just killing it with the advertising for this so far. It's been brilliant!
