Putting famous actors in screen tests for famous movies they weren’t in isn’t a new technique in comedy. “Saturday Night Live” famously did it best with their “Star Wars Screen Tests” sketch in the mid-90s. But what sets the video below apart from the rest is the impressive visual FX used to pull off the gag. The premise – Samuel L. Jackson tests for TITANIC – is achieved by using stand-ins for Jackson and Kate Winslet with the actors heads then digitally inserted and manipulated to appear as if they’re actually doing the acting. You can find more moves like this at Mini Movie where this clip was created. Just kinda makes you think that Sam Jackson makes everything better. Well…not THE MAN. There was no helping that movie.
