Sam Worthington is making comics to adapt into movies he’ll star in

Rather than poking around comic stores for decent material, Sam Worthington is skipping the middleman and making his own.

The inescapable Aussie actor’s new production company has teamed with comic publisher Radical Studios to create his own imprint, with the intention of developing properties that can be turned into feature films.

Worthington’s production company partners John Schwarz and Michael Schwarz have already started with the action title DAMAGED, which “centers on two brothers committed to justice in different ways — one inside the law, one violently beyond it.  Now with the end of their careers approaching, they must train their replacements, hoping to remake them in their image. But the vigilante code has changed and the brothers are left unprepared for the true lawlessness and corruption that is about to be unleashed.”

Veteran crime comic writer David Lapham (“Stray Bullets”) is also working on the book.

Radical has a number of other comics in the works for movie adaptation, including THE LAST DAYS OF AMERICAN CRIME (also with Worthington) and the cool-looking steampunk fairy tale LEGENDS:
