Saw IV teaser
Sep. 3, 2007
Considering I'm not a fan of the SAW franchise, I've written a helluva a lot of stories about the upcoming SAW IV. And here's another. The teaser was just released, and although we're not shown a lot, there's a banging rock track on it that kicks all sorts of teaser trailer ass. It's like Creed meets Nickleback meet Dream Theatre. The film is released in about two months and they're hitting us with the teaser now? A little late guys. Let's get some full, two-minutes-and-thirty-seconds hardcore trailer action up in this joint. What's the hold up? Check it out below.

They aren't scary--any semblance of fright is sucked out of the air by that obnoxious 80 cuts/minute editing. They just boil down to 90 minutes of "what fucked up shit can we think of". Problem is--they ruin even that! The fucked up shit is boring because it doesn't even feel real...it's...

Problem is--they ruin even that! The fucked up shit is boring because it doesn't even feel real...it's soulless and contrived. Give me a real exploitation movie any day, but save this co-opted mainstream shit for the frats.
The scariest thing about Saw III was the fact that they decided to CGI the cold-breath in the freezer rather than actually having a cold set.
...Hostel, on the other hand, with its deconstruction of this very genre ("You pay, you watch"), was brilliant.
LASTLY, to all Saw defenders...please explain to me Jigsaw's motives in a way that ISN'T a dumbed-down version of John Doe's, and maybe I'll give these movies a second chance.

I'm not a huge saw fan, but I will still probably see this movie. The first one has a place in my heart, but both of the sequels have been lackluster.

I saw it on there, it involved one guy with his eyes sewn shut, and the other with his mouth sewn shut. They are linked by the neck to chains, connecting to a device in the center of the room. I believe the premise of the trap, is that they can help each other and cut one another's sewn parts, and then figure out a way out, or die by getting ground up in this conveyor machine.
Go check it out, one guy does die though. It's really not too "cool" if you ask me, I think the torture scenes could do a lot better than this. Only eerie thing about it is the fact that it's in a mausoleum.

I'd say I won't be seeing this but considering how big each consecutive sequel has been, I'm sure I'll get roped along with someone.
