Schwarzenegger officially accepting offers for new acting roles
Just last month, Arnold Schwarzenegger gave an interview to an Austrian magazine and revealed his was already reading three scripts and considering a return to acting. Looks like he wasn't just messing with us. Schwarzenegger tweeted yesterday that he's given the go-ahead to his agents at CAA to officially begin accepting offers for film roles.
Said Schwarzenegger, "Exciting news. My friends at CAA have been asking me for 7 years when they can take offers seriously. Gave them the green light today."
One of the projects he's reportedly considering is WITH WINGS AS EAGLES, a script written by Randall Wallace (BRAVEHEART) that would star Arnold as a German officer during WWII who breaks rank and frees POWs.
I'm sure Tom Arnold doesn't want to hear anything about that though and will begin immediately resurrecting his 15-year campaign to convince us (and himself) that a TRUE LIES sequel is actually happening.
What kind of film would you like to see Schwarzenegger take? Should he go the Sylvester Stallone route and still try to kick ass? Should he play it more like Clint Eastwood and be a grizzled bad-ass? Or should he be like Robert De Niro and make a crappy comedy?
