Scream Factory took to their Facebook page to share yet another title annoucement as part of their month-long 'Shocktober' celebration, sharing that the 1988 prison/slasher film DESTROYER, which starred NFL great Lyle Alzado, will make its debut on the Blu-ray format in Summer 2015 and will be paired in a double feature with the previously-announced SCARECROWS – another quasi-slasher flick from 1988.

Similar to THE HORROR SHOW and SHOCKER in its execution DESTROYER sports a pretty wild cast including Deborah Foreman (APRIL FOOLS DAY, WAXWORK), Clayton Rohner (THE RELIC) and even “Norman Bates” himself, Anthony Perkins!

A prison riot breaks out at the moment of a serial murderer's execution by electrocution, and his fate becomes indeterminate when the prison is shut down. 18 months later, a team of filmmakers converge on the prison to film a women-in-prison exploitation flick, but find that a certain somebody is disrupting their shooting schedule…

I've never seen this one before (shame on me!) but I'm curious to see Alzado playing a 300 lb. killing machine causing carnage with a deadly jackhammer. That sounds like too much fun!

No other details have been made available yet, but we'll keep you updated.
