Second season of the X-Files revival gets premiere date on FOX

Not many shows (or movies for that matter) coming out decades after their heyday have any sort of lasting impact, but it looks like the X-FILES revival has done just that. In fact, it’s getting a second season from FOX. Not only that, but we also have a premiere date for the 10-episode season, which is January 3rd @ 8pm. It will be followed by the new Ryan Murphy show 9-1-1.

I’ll admit to being a lapsed X-FILES fan, as I haven’t seen any episodes post-Mulder (no matter how hard Robert Patrick tried) and skipped the second movie. Not only that, but it seemed that the final X-FILES episode, from what I gather, was pretty conclusive. Having said all that, I’m actually glad it’s working on for people, and fans seem to enjoy it. I suppose the truth is still out there…I wonder if they’ll ever find it?

So you Schmoes excited for some more X-FILES? Either way, sound off below!
