The buzz on Edgar Wright's latest highly praised genre project HOT FUZZ is burning up the Internet already, while the film's release is still a couple of months away (April 20) for us U.S./Canadian punks (UK punks got it in theaters last week!). But that won't stop us from pushing the flick, especially since our man JimmyO saw it a couple of weeks ago and is still jizzing all over the JoBlo.com offices about it (well okay, maybe not jizzing, but he's quite stoked about it, let me tell you). Anyway, if you and a friend want to be invited to an early screening of the film, alongside the director and the film's two stars, Simon Pegg and Nick Frost, just CLICK HERE and enter Rogue Pictures' sweepstakes now. Read the rules right under the pic of the fellas below and thank JoBlo.com if you win, man!! :)

No purchase necessary. Sweepstakes starts 10:00 am (PST) on 2/13/07 & ends 11:59 pm (PDT) on 3/13/07. Open only to legal residents of contiguous Continental U.S. , 18 or older. Subject to Official Rules. Odds of winning depend on number of entries. Void where prohibited.

Extra Tidbit: Edgar Wright is directing one of the "fake trailers" that will be shown between the two GRINDHOUSE movies.

See quite a few people have said it had a slow build up, but I found that from the opening shot every other line of dialogue was a witty joke and never allowed the pace to slow down (the fast jump cuts helped that cause as well).

The church scene, it may very well give the omen a run for it's money

h

Saw it a couple of days ago - it's fantastic :) A slow build up, but that really pays off when the third act kicks in. And it REALLY kicks in :D Plus, it has the best scene involving a church in cinema history...
