THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN has had a combination viral campaign/alternate reality game going on for some time now, one which has at last culminated in the reveal of a new Oscorp Industrites website and the chance to attend a screening of the movie for free on Monday the 2nd of July.

The site reads: Congratulations! You are invited to a FREE advanced screening of The Amazing Spider-Man on Monday, July 2nd (cities and screening times listed below). On the day of the screenings each city location below will update with a ticket collection location and time. There will be 24 pairs of tickets available on a FIRST COME FIRST SERVED basis and will provide the theater location for that evening’s screening [at 7:30 pm].

The participating cities are: New York City, Boston, Philadelphia, Chicago, Washington DC, Atlanta, Houston, Dallas, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Seattle.

So as soon as the 2nd rolls 'round, you can click right here to find the ticket collection location and time.  Best of luck to whoever is planning on going for this!

Extra Tidbit: Considering his horror/practical effects background, I really want to know what Sam Raimi would have done with The Lizard back when this movie was going to be SPIDERMAN 4.

i don't know...

but some how the lizard looks like The Scorpion from the comics, just with big teeth and no poison dispensing tail. Todd Mc Farlane's lizard was awesome.

I still can't get over how the Green Goblin was Originally going to look with the practical effects mask. Google it if you haven't seen it. Now that was AMAZING.

Extra Tidbit

Old school Sam Raimi was the best. He used to use practical effects BUT if you remember Spiderman 3, he wasn't using practical effects any more at that point. Sandman and Venom were entirely CGI. I think even if Sam Raimi did Spiderman 4, I think the Lizard would have still been CGI (although he would probably have a different look).
