Writer/director Darren Aronofsky's psychological thriller MOTHER! is keeping its details secret on the way to its September 15th release, but a full trailer for the film has arrived online that manages to be highly intriguing without giving away too much.

The official synopsis for MOTHER!, which stars Jennifer Lawrence, Javier Bardem, Michelle Pfeiffer, Domhnall Gleeson, Ed Harris, and Kristen Wiig, goes like this:

A couple’s relationship is tested when uninvited guests arrive at their home, disrupting their tranquil existence.

One thing the promotional materials for the film make clear is the fact that Bardem's character is at the heart of the horror, and the trailer leaves me feeling like this guy is something along the lines of the Antichrist – ROSEMARY'S BABY is all grown up and the cult responsible for his birth is coming for a visit.

My feeling could be way off, and we probably won't know for sure what MOTHER! is about until it comes out in just over a month.
