Shaq has an explanation for why he did Kazaam

When I was a youngster, my favorite player in the NBA was Shaquille O’Neal back when he played for Orlando Magic. I had Shaq Nikes, a life-sized cardboard cutout, and the jersey. He was my hero. However, my love for him could not get me in the theaters to see KAZAAM. I knew better.

Eventually I caught the movie on cable and my brain was perplexed. Why? Why make people suffer so much second hand embarrassment?

Shaq now has an explanation:

“I was a medium-level juvenile delinquent from Newark who always dreamed about doing a movie. Someone said, ‘Hey, here’s $7 million, come in and do this genie movie.’ What am I going to say, no?”

Money makes the world go ’round and also causes bad decisions in filmmaking.

Didn’t own these…
