The greatest Star Trek moments are seldom the spaceship battles or scenes with hand-to-hand combat (as fun as they are), but rather the character interactions. Whether they be humorous or dramatic, watching our favorite Starfleet crew interact with each other and the aliens they meet is integral to the enjoyment of the story, and we finally have a small glimpse of that as far as STAR TREK BEYOND goes. Sofia Boutella's can be seen kicking ass in the trailer, but the following clip shows us her first meeting with Simon Pegg's Scotty.
Not that Simon Pegg isn't likable, but I've never really warmed up to him like I have James Doohan. I'm hoping this is rectified in BEYOND by giving him (and the rest of the crew) some fun and genuine moments that help us relate. Arguably, that's been the biggest fault of the new TREK films thus far. Let's see if Justin Lin can rectify that!
