Singer’s new crew

After THE USUAL SUSPECTS got the filmmakers so much attention, fans wondered what director Bryan Singer and writer Chris McQuarrie would do next together. Over a decade later, we’re finally finding out it’s a WWII thriller currently titled VALKYRIE.

Singer already has Tom Cruise starring in his flick — not a bad start, despite the diminutive superstar’s gossip-rag baggage. Now it sounds like he’s got plenty of other solid actors trying to kill Hitler in his movie: Latino Review says Bill Nighy, Tom Wilkinson, Kenneth Branagh, Stephen Fry and Patrick Wilson are all in discussions to join the project. That’s a pretty impressive collection of Brits. And the pervy guy from HARD CANDY.

The sure-to-be-labyrinthine movie is based on true events, and tells of a secret plot within Hitler’s ranks to assassinate der Führer.
