Looks like The Rock is cooking something funky.
Everyone knows Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson eats the flesh of the competition. The hand is a good part, right? Just slap some BBQ on it, pair it with corn on the cob, and you've got a nice little meal.
There's something strange going on in this new set photo from Michael Bay's PAIN AND GAIN. It's also pretty badass. The Rock is jacked. Wahlberg put on some more muscle tone as well, but he looks rather shrimpy standing next to Johnson. So why is he cooking up some blackened hand? Well, the story is based on a Miami New Times article from '99 about, "a pair of Florida bodybuilders who get caught up in an extortion ring and a kidnapping scheme that goes terribly wrong." They were also both pretty 'roided out and preferred to torture people to get what they wanted.
Maybe he was BBQ'ing the hand while making his victim watch. Endless possibilities here. Check out the photo below.
