Smith to direct Max?

Now this is on the more wild side of rumors, but the latest buzz around is that Kevin Smith may be the man to direct the upcoming Green Arrow flick, SUPER MAX. How did people come to this conclusion? Well, first we have a comment that Smith recently made to Wizard, about where he'll be after making ZACH AND MIRI MAKE A PORNO and RED STATE:

"I think that by that point, by my 10th film, I'll be ready to take on something that is very visually oriented. The 10th movie I think is going to be a comic book movie - not 'The Green Hornet' though. There's something that we're kind of negotiating on right now which would actually be pretty cool. I don't know what the audience for it would be, but I would dig making it because I've always been a fan of the character. I can't say what it is though, because they haven't locked it in."

After this, speculation seized upon the fact that Smith had previously written a 15 issue arc for the rebirth of the Green Arrow comic book series for DC back in 2000. Add to this the fact that no one has (as far as we know) signed on to direct SUPER MAX and kaboom: rumor. Stay tuned for more...
Extra Tidbit: Thoughts? Personally, I hope if this is true, that he can convince The Fleck to convince Matt Damon to play Green Arrow. That'd be sweet.
