Snyder Watchmen video

Our good friend Thomas Leupp recently conducted a 5-minute one-on-one video interview for the ReelzChannel.com with 300 director Zack Snyder, in which he grills the man about all things WATCHMEN, so if you're one of the many comic book fans out there who are stoked to see that classic graphic novel churn into production, check it out as he discusses everything from the rumors about the Tom Cruise casting, to the film's possible length time, when the film will be set, its rating and whether or not he's already casting people. No real scoops in there, but it's pretty cool to hear Snyder talking about how WATCHMEN is pretty close to finally becoming a reality. I guess opening your last film at $72M in its first three days will inspire that sort of thing. Check it out below!

totally agree that the interviewer guy was boring as hell and had no idea really how to conduct an interview...added nothing, may as well have been an email answer session. Snyder's pretty awesome though, movie's in good hands. not that i care (never read Watchmen ((or 300 for that matter))), but this guy's movies, i will watch.

Does seem like a normal dude

He's not exactly the most coherant speaker...but then again that pretty much just make him seem like a normal dude who's starting to hit it big. Sounds like he's got a really good handle on the material, can't wait to see how it turns out. I think he sold me when he pretty much called X-Men 3 and Ghost Rider shit.

That dude doing the interview was among the most boring I've ever witnessed. How'd he land this job? He didn't seem very excited.

Anyway, super-de-duper excited to hear about the "hard R." As Zach stated, a PG-13 simply wouldn't be feasible. More and more he seems like the right dude for the job, and I'm excited for this movie because of it, despite my qualms about adapting the book in general.
