Strike Back below!
by: Dave Davis Dec. 11, 2009

I often find myself thinking how many movies could be vastly improved with the simple inclusion of mirror-monsters, and someone has finally heard my mental plea.

Those reflection boogeymen in the clip below come courtesy of SOLOMON KANE, the upcoming flick based on Robert E. Howard's classic leather-bound evil-fighter, played with sword-swishing vigor by James Purefoy.

The movie opens overseas over the next few months, but a domestic release hasn't been resolved yet.

Extra Tidbit: Is this movie already better than VAN HELSING, the movie that ripped-off the character's style? Of course -- it has mirror-monsters.

'bout time Hollywood got the book-to-movie formula right. This is shaping up to be fantastic fun!

The original books and stories are great and I hope the spirit and style hold up during the treatment.

I'm sure they'll leave the blatant racism of the stories at the door though. -lol-

It seems to be a nice dosage of harmless, swashbuckling fun and I am always up for that genre.

One thing is for sure though, I'd do James Purefoy. That man be fine.

I already wanted to see this movie, and now I'm going to. No matter what. That's awesome.
