SPOILER-ish clip from The Amazing Spider-Man with Rhys Ifans and Irrfan Khan

Jun. 25, 2012by:

THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN is just around the corner and today we've got a SPOILER-ish clip from a scene with Dr. Curt Conners (Rhys Ifans) and Dr. Rajit Ratha(Irrfan Khan) where the two doctors discuss some serious matters regarding formulas, Peter Parker, and even a mention of Norman Osborn.

Check it out:

I was most intrigued by this clip than all the material I've seen from THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN thus far.  It shows how much can be accomplished in a small dialogue sequence, which gives you some information, while still retaining a bit of mystery.  Still, it does seem that Sony has lambasted us with Spidey footage and I'm hoping they have an ace up their sleeve in terms of unseen footage, because it definitely feels like this could be a "seen the trailers, seen the movie" kind of flick.

With a running time of 136 minutes, that's unlikely, but, not necessarily impossible.  Either way, the webhead is swinging your way just in time for fireworks next week.  Let's hope the pic brings some of its own.

THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN opens on July 3, 2012.

Extra Tidbit: If you're not yet sold on the Spidey reboot, name one thing to change that would sway your opinion. For me, having a true-to-form Green Goblin would be a great start.

It IS a seen the trailer, seen the movie film.

You know the entire plot from start to end if you watch the trailers and spots. There is nothing they haven't shown, if you know anything about spider-man you know Gwen's father has to die. They screw it up though, Gwen knows it was lizard in this movie, in the comics she blames spider-man. Other than that it is a boring movie focused on the love story more so than the action. When the CG lizard is in full swing in the end, it has some effects that rival Origins: Wolverine on the shitty scale.

Unmarked spoilers and a slightly arrogant tone of voice are not cool, man. However, referring to a movie as a "movie film" ala Borat is pretty amusing.

You sound a lot like 'Spraragen88.' No need to be such a prick and assume we all know "anything about spider-man." What on earth possesses you to spoil a part of a movie, especially regarding a death, is beyond me ... power behind the keyboard I guess.

Surprisingly, I enjoyed the film. Rhys Ifans was perfectly cast as the Lizard and he is an excellent actor who needs to be in more high-profile films. The main thing for me was that Curt Connors makes a very jarring transition from rational scientist to full-tilt raving villain, and yes, the CGI does look pretty goofy at times. Still, he was an important component in making the movie pretty darned good.

Yeah dusty, the chemistry between those two is probably some of the best in recent memory. Those two are really hot, I openly admit to having a man-crush on Andrew Garfield. I just hope they don't go the way of ScarJo and Ryan Reynolds.

SPOILER two posts below mine -- Sigh -- Once again someone is looking to potentially spoil another movie. Two posts below mine 'Masterdebator88' could have revealed a large spoiler in the movie, if it's true. Please don't read it if you are planning on seeing this movie.

while i will agree they have shown lots of clips in the trailers, this movie is surprisingly not about the action as much as it is about the characters. Sony has done something i didnt expect....they avoided the Iron Man 1/2/Avengers/Thor superhero route, and they've avoided the Batman Begins/TDK superhero route....
they've carved their own path in the superhero genre...and i think it fits the spider-man persona PERFECTLY. its a movie about the characters....it has charisma, comedy, love,

they've carved their own path in the superhero genre...and i think it fits the spider-man persona PERFECTLY. its a movie about the characters....it has charisma, comedy, love, romance....that you care about. in the background, there is action, cg, villians, etc. think of this movie like 500 days of summer with super heroes. a genuinely likeable romcom for both guys and girls that delivers. I know it sounds weird, but once you watch the movie, it makes sense that they went this direction with the film. it makes the other super hero movies feel emotionally empty and strictly for action fans.
