Star Trek Beyond blu-ray

Given how much I enjoyed STAR TREK BEYOND, I was hoping that its box-office performance would have been a little more impressive. While the latest STAR TREK flick hasn't completed its theatrical run yet, its upcoming release on Blu-ray/DVD has already been announced by Paramount; here's hoping that it will find a bigger audience on home-media. On October 4th, STAR TREK BEYOND will be released to Digital HD followed by a Blu-ray, Blu-ray 3D and 4K Ultra HD release on November 1st.

Each of the Blu-ray/Blu-ray 3D/4K Ultra HD releases will include a Digital HD copy of the film as well as:

Deleted Scenes - Go Beyond the final cut of the movie with scenes you didn't see in theaters.

Beyond the Darkness - Meet visionary producer J.J. Abrams, director Justin Lin and co-writers Simon Pegg and Doug Jung as they discuss the inspiration for the Star Trek Beyond storyline and how it came to life.

Enterprise Takedown - Experience edge-of-your-seat action and see how a shocking attack destroys the USS Enterprise.

Divided and Conquered - Learn how filmmakers pushed the boundaries in Star Trek Beyond by forcing the Enterprise crew into their most challenging situations yet.

A Warped Sense of Revenge - Meet Star Trek's newest villain, Krall, as actor Idris Elba reveals the backstory behind his character's terrifying ambitions.

Trekking in the Desert - Go on set to Dubai and discover how its futuristic architecture became the foundation for the most innovative Starbase yet.

Exploring Strange New Worlds - Tour the incredible production sets of Star Trek Beyond with director Justin Lin.

New Life, New Civilizations - See how special effects designers met the challenge to create an unprecedented 50 new alien species for the film to celebrate Star Trek's 50th Anniversary.

To Live Long and Prosper - Journey through the past 50 years of Star Trek with J.J. Abrams and the cast as they reflect on the evolution of this iconic sci-fi series.

For Leonard and Anton - Watch a touching tribute to the legendary Leonard Nimoy and beloved crew member Anton Yelchin.

Gag Reel - Join in on the fun with this hilarious gag reel of on-set bloopers.

Those of you who have been waiting on pulling the trigger on any of these STAR TREK films may be interested to know that a STAR TREK Trilogy collection will also be released on that same date which includes STAR TREK, STAR TREK INTO DARKNESS and STAR TREK BEYOND. If you're only after a DVD copy of BEYOND, that will be available as well.

Will you be picking STAR TREK BEYOND up once it's released?

Beyond's a good movie, but not a brilliant one. A silly conclusion to one of the movie's threats and a villain that really only got interesting just before the end prevented it from being the franchise-saver people seemed to think was needed. Personally I've enjoyed all three of the new Trek series, though I still can't make my mind up about whether Quinto is a weak link, performance-wise. He looks the part, sure, but I'm not sure he'll ever fully inhabit the role. Might be a fault of the way

Might be a fault of the way his Spock is written, but I never totally buy his Nimoy-isms as much as I love the way Karl Urban has paid homage to DeForest Kelley's McCoy. That's not to say I dislike Quinto's Spock, just that he doesn't feel quite so natural in the role as the rest of the recast crew.

One of my favorite films of the summer and even though the first rebooted Star Trek film is my favorite of the three, Beyond was a great improvement over Into Darkness.

Although the 3D cover is not bad, the main one is ugly !
A floating photoshoped heads badly copying the poster that was made as an homage to the first film ?
Why couldn't they use THAT poster instead of ripping it ?
Just cheap !

You'll be happy to hear that the homage poster is used for the Best Buy exclusive steelbook version, which is not shown here.

Thanks for the news Smokescreen85
But we don't have Best Buy in France.
I know it will also be used for the European 2D/3D Steelbook.
Zaavi will use the Spock movie poster for their
And Italia will have the Jaylah one for the 2D only Steelbook

beyond just goes to show how going back to the basics is best for business, sure star trek beyond didn't wow the box office #s but I think that has something to do with the sour taste of into darkness and the heavy action centric trailer for beyond didn't help the cause at all.i personally loved beyond but I still feel like that kirk, spock, mcoy main trio ark has yet to be mined in this universe and id love to see this going forward, its by far one of the best things about the original series and

Seeing how it was the least successful of the nu-Trek films, the 'back to basis' will NOT be used again by the Studios, unfortunately !
