As if Disney didn't have enough already, they are now taking full control of the STAR WARS narrative with Lucasfilm prepping a weekly digital short-form series that will revolve entirely around news, recaps, interviews and basically anything and everything STAR WARS they want you to talk about.

THE STAR WARS SHOW (catchy title), which premiered today, is set to be a weekly seven-minute show hosted by Andi Gutierrez, StarWars.com’s digital communications manager, and actor Peter Townley, that will offer up news reveals, recaps of things that occurred in the week leading up to release, interviews with superfans and celebrities and, I'm sure, plenty of surprises that make the show a regular must-watch on your calendar.

You can find new episodes of THE STAR WARS SHOW every Wednesday, starting at 3:00 p.m. EST on the Star Wars YouTube channel, StarWars.com, the official Star Wars app for iOS and Android and Star Wars social media channels like Facebook and Twitter, and while the goal does not seem to be monetization, that will ultimately result from maintaining STAR WARS' presence in pop culture dialogue with programming such as this.

Duncan Jones guests on the debut episode, which has a lot to say about STAR WARS Celebration Europe, so go ahead and watch down below. You know you were going to anyway.
