Star Wars at Disney

Perhaps I don't get out much but I've never heard of Disney Star Wars Weekends. But apparently what they do at different Disney parks is have four weekends full of STAR WARS events, activities, rides and special guests where fans came come to the park and find new and interesting ways to part with their hard-earned cash. Regardless, to help promote the event, Disney came up with some new posters. The first four you see are from this years and I as was looking at those, I saw a few from years prior I decided to include too. Check em out below!

Extra Tidbit: You can find out more about this year's event here.

Old Skool Starwars

I'm just glad they're playin' with Vader and Stormtroopers amd Ewoks, rather than Clones and Gungas.

I still don't get how Disney is able to claim Star Wars? Did Lucas whore out a licensing deal? Where does Fox stand in this picture?

Im not sure but I think I went to Disneyland when they were doing this because they had a show where Darth Vader and Darth Maul fought some Jedi's then they had some little kids volunteer to beat up Darth Maul haha.

I live 30 minutes away from Disney. This happens every year. I feel kind of bad. I take advantage of Disney like its just another attraction here. Like a shopping mall. Yet, people travel all over the world to come here. Oh well.

I was there...

I was at MGM studios, when it was called MGM studios, years ago, to enjoy this event! It kicked @$$. The best part was it hit me by surprise. I didn't know it was a Star Wars Weekend when I was there. Not that I'm the biggest Star Wars nerd, but I do love all six films and I was glad I got to experience this.

Now I'm not saying It's the end all, be all, but I did enjoy it. Especially in a park that now celebrates such crap-ola as High School Musical.

MGM studios is a must visit for

MGM studios is a must visit for any film buff anyway. It's fun and makes you feel like a kid again.
