Stellan Skarsgard quotes Edgar Allan Poe in the latest clip from Lars Von Trier's Nymphomaniac

Sep. 27, 2013by: Alex Maidy

The latest clip from Lars Von Trier's NYMPHOMANIAC is by far the least NSFW of them all. Gone are Shia LaBeouf acting like a douche, Uma Thurman discussing the Whoring Bed, or any of the other sexually explicit glimpses we have seen so far. This new clip is very subtle compared to the others and deals directly with death. All we see is a character, presumably the main character, walking on a snowy day towards an apartment building as Stellan Skarsgard reads an excerpt from Edgar Allan Poe's THE FALL OF THE HOUSE OF USHER.

NYMPHOMANIAC is broken into several chapters that focus on different parts of the main character's crazy sexual life. This clip comes from Chapter 4 which is subtitled Delirium. Here's the synopsis:

Confusion. Delusion. Hallucination.

The nymphomaniac's father dies.

The film will be making it's premiere at next year's Cannes Film Festival and will likely be showing the hardcore version with all of the famous actors performing real sex, or at least pretending to while stunt dicks do the hard work.

NYMPHOMANIAC also stars Charlotte Gainsbourg, Christian Slater, Stellan Skarsgard, Willem Dafoe, Connie Nielsen, and Jamie Bell, and should be in theaters sometime in 2014.
