Disney has released a new full length trailer for THE BFG, which consists mostly of previously unseen footage, including new looks at Mark Rylance as the titular character, and some of the non-friendly giants. Steven Spielberg's take on the the classic Roald Dahl story received mixed reviews when it premiered last week at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival, but in my opinion this is a great trailer (love the shot of Ruby Barnhill's Sophie holding The BFG's pinky), and as a huge fan of the children's book, I can't wait to check the adaptation out.

"So hold your breath, cross your fingers, here we go!"

Synopsis:

The BFG is no ordinary bone-crunching giant. He is far too nice and jumbly. It's lucky for Sophie that he is. Had she been carried off in the middle of the night by the Bloodbottler, or any of the other giants—rather than the BFG—she would have soon become breakfast. When Sophie hears that the giants are flush-bunking off to England to swollomp a few nice little chiddlers, she decides she must stop them once and for all. And the BFG is going to help her!

THE BFG opens on July 1, 2016.
