Storm Riders 2?

STORM RIDERS was one of the first movies that my dad ever took me to see in the cinema. At that time, wanting to grow up to be Bruce Lee, this thing rocked my world. Almost ten years later, seeing it again results in rather less world-rocking and slightly more ‘wow that was kinda goofy’. But still I’m way excited about the prospect of a second film, particularly since it’s the Pang brothers who are being lined up to direct. Those are the guys who made (the original) THE EYE, THE MESSENGERS, and who are remaking their own film BANGKOK DANGEROUS, with Nicolas Cage. STORM RIDERS was based on an incredibly popular comic book called ‘Fung Wan’, which revolves around two gifted children, Wind (Ekin Cheng) and Cloud (Aaron Kwok), who are trained by a corrupt warlord to become bona fide badasses. And then a hot chick, destiny, and a couple of swords step in to shake things up. The producers are looking to score the same leads, which should be easy since Aaron Kwok and Ekin Cheng are in pretty much every single Chinese film that has been made since the beginning of time.
