Stranger Things cast suit up for a Motown medley with James Corden

11.09.2017

It feels like only yesterday since I'd heard that the band members of the Motown musical group The Upside Downs had broken up. Individuals belonging to the talented quintet consisted of The Late Late Show host James Corden and stars of the Netflix sci-fi series STRANGER THINGS: Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin and Noah Schnapp. With their collective musical prowess combined, each member of the band brought something truly special to classic cover tunes from such legendary acts as The Jackson 5, The Temptations and The Four Tops. Thankfully, on Wednesday night, each of the boys suited up for one hell of a farewell performance. You can watch the show, as well as a little behind-the-scenes action, using the player below:

After the break up, Caleb McLaughlin who now plays the part of Lucas for The Duffer Brothers' supernatural series, whistfully remarked "That band was still the most creatively fulfilling thing I've ever been a part of." Additionally, Finn Wolfhard, who plays Mike on the now-popular program, offered a comment in regard to how the group came together for one last time. "I mean, we miss it. We still miss it. So I called up the boys, and I said, 'Let's get the band back together for one more night,'" Wolfhard stated.

As fleeting as the band's career might've been, there's no doubt in mind that the shockwaves of their impact on the music industry will be felt for decades to come.

STRANGER THINGS Season 2 is now available to stream on Netflix.

Extra Tidbit: Finn Wolfhard has his own band in real life called Calpurnia.
