Strike to delay TF2?

I don’t know how much you guys know about possible strike that’s going to take place in Hollywood next year, but basically the WGA, DGA and SAG, whose contracts with the studios end could potentially strike (to secure more money, of course) and hold the entire industry ransom. Anyway, not much has been said about it because it’s more threatening than real at this point, but now we have Don Murphy, one of the producers on TRANSFORMERS, saying that the strike may in fact be the reason why he haven’t heard anything about a pretty much guaranteed sequel to the flick:

“For those of you most anxious about TRANSFORMERS 2, the silence you hear is primarily because people are fretting about a presumed strike in June 2008. Will it happen? I don’t know- does the public care about strikes anymore in this day and age? What do rich people have to strike about anyway? I don’t have any side here (you hear about the writers and the Producers but that actually means the STUDIOS) I just think stopping work is kind of pointless. But since no one wants to be filming IF a strike happens, everything needs to be done filming by the end of May 2008. So this is affecting the lack of news about Transformers 2 at least for now. Stay tuned.”

I pretty much hate this story. TRANSFORMERS was my favourite film over the Summer and I’ll be damned if anything halts a sequel. I need to see where Starscream went. Or what happened when the shock wore off and Megan Fox realised that she had somehow started dating the class geek. And I need me some Dinobots. Come on, guys!
