Synopses for the new seasons of Agent Carter & Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D
Several days ago we learned that both Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D and Agent Carter had been renewed by ABC and there was much rejoicing. Now ABC has released new synopses for both series which give us a bit more of an idea where these two Marvel shows will take us.
Synopsis for season two of Agent Carter:
Marvel’s Agent Carter” returns for a second season of adventure and intrigue, starring Hayley Atwell in the titular role of the unstoppable secret agent for the SSR (Strategic Scientific Reserve). Dedicated to the fight against new atomic age threats in the wake of World War II, Peggy must now journey from New York City to Los Angeles for her most dangerous assignment yet. But even as she discovers new friends, a new home — and perhaps even a new love — she’s about to find out that the bright lights of the post-war Hollywood mask a more sinister threat to everyone she is sworn to protect.
Synopsis for season three of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D:
Director Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg) embarks on a deadly new secret mission to protect the world from new threats in the wake of SHIELD’s wars with Hydra and a rogue faction of Inhumans.
Speaking of Agent Coulson and his team, the proposed Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. spin-off series may yet have life. The new show, which would have been centered around Adrianne Palicki (Bobbi Morse aka Mockingbird) and Nick Blood (Lance Hunter), had recently found its plug pulled but ABC Entertainment Group president Paul Lee says that there is still a possibility for the project to come to life at a later date. He said that "the right thing now is to leave them on S.H.I.E.L.D., because S.H.I.E.L.D. is so strong on the moment." Lee also briefly touched on John Ridley's mysterious Marvel project saying "I can’t talk about the John Ridley one, other than to say that he’s working on it." You hear that? He's working on it; I can barely contain my excitement.
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D airs its season finale on ABC tonight, so make sure to check back for our review!
