Synopsis for the Will Ferrell Spanish comedy Casa de mi padre revealed?

So Will Ferrell is doing a Spanish-language comedy that was at one point called CASA DE MI PADRE (now simply referred to as UNTITLED SPANISH COMEDY) opposite Gael Garcia Bernal and Diego Luna (Y TU MAMA TAMBIEN) for "Funny or Die Presents..." director Matt Piedmont. When we last reported on it, the film was being described as "an overly dramatic telenovela" (Spanish soap opera). I don't know what to make of this other than that I'm dying to see a trailer for it.

Today, the folks at Collider have come across a synopsis for the film which is apparently in the test screening phase. Check it out below:

This movie is currently called UNTITLED SPANISH COMEDY and stars Will Ferrell, Gael Garcia Bernal (The Motorcycle Diaries), DIEGO LUNA (The Terminal) and GENESIS RODRIGUEZ (TVís Entourage & ďDona BarbaraĒ) Armando Alvarez (Will Ferrell) has lived and worked on his fatherís ranch in Mexico his entire life. As the ranch encounters financial difficulties, Armandoís younger brother Raul (Diego Luna), shows up with his new fiance, Sonia (Genesis Rodriguez). It seems that Raulís success as an international businessman means the ranchís troubles are over as he pledges to settle all debts his father has incurred. But when Armando falls for Sonia, and Raulís business dealings turn out to be less than legit, all hell breaks loose as they find themselves in a war with Mexicoís most feared drug lord, the mighty Onza (Gael Garcia Bernal)...
Extra Tidbit: The rather exquisite Genesis Rodriguez...
