Take a look at two more suits from Iron Man 3

Mar. 27, 2013by: Jesse Giroux

Yesterday we showed you two of the suits from IRON MAN 3 that were released through the "Unlock the Armors" sweepstakes that is on the film's Facebook page. Two more suits have been unlocked and are now available for your viewing pleasure.

Pictured below are the Mark 17- Artillery Level RT Suit "Heartbreaker" and the Mark 38- Heavy Lifting Suit "Igor." The Heavy Lifting suit showed up in one of the newer trailers for a brief moment but that was enough for many of us to speculate that it was a "Hulkbuster" suit. It still could be a "Hulkbuster" (or at least a prototype) but for now it's just "Igor."

The amount of suits appearing in IRON MAN 3 may seem ridiculous but I don't think they're going overboard or dong it just so Marvel can sell more toys (although I'm sure that's an added bonus). The official synopsis asks the question, "Does the man make the suit or does the suit make the man?" and I think showing us the different suits is to strengthen the point that what makes Iron Man isn't what suit Tony Stark is wearing or how much firepower it has. What makes Iron Man IS Tony Stark and in IRON MAN 3 it looks like judgment is coming for the man inside and outside of the suit.

IRON MAN AND HIS AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMSUITS is in theaters May 3rd, 2013.

Extra Tidbit: If that isn't a "Hulkbuster" suit what do you think the chances are we'll see one in the near future?

Thought HeartBreaker was GodKiller

Still nice to get an idea of the armors range. With this many suits that are basically individual characters it is good to get a sense of basic look and function. They do a real good job of making them look different which helps during action to get a sense spatially. Action sequence confusion toss-up between Any Given Sunday and TF (any).
Now that it is not HulkBuster I only want to see it as an accident with Mark Ruffalo stopping and catching a glimpse of it and walking up and cocking his

Now that it is not HulkBuster I only want to see it as an accident with Mark Ruffalo stopping and catching a glimpse of it and walking up and cocking his head, looking at himself ... then at Downey who just has an expression of Whoops. No dialogue, just a hilarious moment in post credits or bonus scene. That would be a nod just to the fanboys.

I think I see potentially where this is going. Stark is following through with his plans to change the design of Stark industries from making guns to making suits. He is creating several different suits for a variety of purposes such as the Igor suit which is designed for construction and manual labor. As a result of this construction he is also leasing that info on the suits to shield which in turn is modifying them for weapons use. As a result, his tech will eventually leak to hydra thus

I'd love to see Hulkbuster and Stealth suit somewhere in the movie.

Love the suits

Hulk will not be in this movie. They said Tony has distanced himself from all things Avengers. This is his story and nobody will even make a cameo.

I thought Hulk was making a cameo?

In the trailer right before the "Igor" suit bursts through the wall you hear Tony say "Here's my boy" and you hear grunting coming from the suit. I thought it was implied that Hulk is in the suit therefore it's the Hulkbuster suit.

Would you wear the Igor suit to fight Hulk? I wouldn't, not after watching him take down a giant robo-eel with one punch in Avengers. Off subject, the Wolverine trailer looks good

You see the shot of all of the suits helping Tony. It is more implied that either these suits will be filled with humans (military, Rhodes friends) or might be functioning without an operator. Hulk will not be in this, no cameo from any of the avengers will be in this because it is an Iron Man movie and they said they want to make sure each solo movie is just that. Maybe at the end credits scene we will get something, or maybe Nick Fury for a moment. But no Hulk, Cap, Thor or whoever.

The Hulkbuster is for busting the Hulk. It wouldn't make much sense for him to wear it.

what?

Snorlax? Really? Anyways, I like the fact they are showing so many suits now. Tony has tons of suit for special ooccasions.

For a heavy-lifting unit it looks to have terrible posture.
It's a strained servo just waiting to happen.

Absolutely love the Mark 38.

It sort of reminds me of Snorlax.
