Hopefully, you're ready for more scares soon, as director James Wan's INSIDIOUS: CHAPTER 2 is coming hot on the heels of his latest smash horror hit, THE CONJURING. Just two months apart, Wan's double whammy of scares is looking to own the genre for the year, with THE CONJURING already earning $83.9 million (the highest grossing horror film of the year thus far). With a built in audience for INSIDIOUS: CHAPTER 2 it's likely that the sequel will rake in a similar take, if not bigger. Today, we have a new international trailer for the film to entice you back into heebie-jeebie territory, just as you shake off the night terrors from THE CONJURING.

He's got your baby!:

The sequel looks like it will dive deeper into Patrick Wilson's character and reveals that he has a bit of a haunted history, which should make for some interesting backstory. Wilson is joined by returning castmembers Rose Byrne, Ty Simpkins, Barbara Hershey, and Lin Shaye for more spooky chills and Wan's usual scary style is on full display, so it looks like a potential home run (and double score) for the director once this one hits.

INSIDIOUS: CHAPTER 2 starts the haunt again on September 13, 2013.

I saw the first one - creepy until you realise what's going on - then it was meh. I'll no doubt catch the sequel on DVD - coz that's just how I am (I still watch all the Resident Evil movies out of some misplaced loyalty to the first one which I enjoyed ;o).

Yup, looks like a sequel. General audiences will love it for the jump scares and all that, i think the horror fans are gonna be meh on it as there's gonna be less mystery and fear of the unknown as both the characters and the audience have an understanding of the film's setting and everything.

Wan looks to dominate the horror market this year, and I'm fine with that!

The first was enjoyable up until the ending. However, I loved The Conjuring and I think Wan would only return for a sequel if he had a story to tell so I trust him.

i really enjoyed ending. i think people fail to realize that it actually tried to do something new and different with the horror genre. if jason and freddy and especially chucky exist then i don't see an issue with astral projection, which has been around in theory for quite some time. i just really want to know how the fuck the SPOILERS dude is not in jail as he murdered that lady...the trailers really need to show how the wife stayed with him.

And isn't it still inside him? Doesn't look like it but... how? Hope it's explained in this next one.

The astral projection sequence wasn't the part I really had a problem with but the turn from the demon who haunted his son the entire time to the old woman demon who haunted him as a child. And I think he just attacked her, but we don't know if he killed her for sure.
