Texas Chainsaw update
The news that a Michael Bay remake of THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE was bad enough. Now comes news that could possibly be scarier than the actual film. Turns out New Line, who's distributing the film, and Bay want to tone-down the violence and keep the gore to a minimum. WHAT? Why make a remake of one of the most intensely graphic and startling films possibly ever only to sanitize it with a WB cast and a PG-13 rating? This move completely alienates the film's fanbase and loyal following only to try and market it to a new breed of kids who grew up on SCREAM and I KNOW WHAT YOU DID LAST SUMMER. I just see this turning into a major disaster.
