The 2008 Sitges Film Festival Wrap-Up

And its over. This year’s
SITGES FILM
FESTIVAL
in Catalan, Spain was yet another heavy duty, high five and
hit experience for yours truly. Films wise, I caught a couple of gems that made
me forget the genre crap I’ve been dealt this year. My favs had to be SURVEILLANCE (which totally blew me away),
the stylish gorefest MARTYRS, the highly engaging LONG WEEKEND and the mucho fun TRICK R TREAT. You can find the list of the SITGES
FILMS and the TALENT INTERVIEWS that were covered by the site below.

SITGESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!

On a more personal
front; I was well backed up on this round, with writer/director and bud ERIC RED there to present
his ghost story 100 FEET (in which I have a small role in) and actor DEKE
RICHARDS (who also happens to be one of my best buds) there to support my short film
THE RED HOURS in which he starred in. Nothing like going to a foreign country
with good friends in tow to show off your work for better and for worse… always smacks
a smile on my face.

Some SITGES movie banners!

And it should be said that it’s not a SITGES
without hooking up with old friends and making new ones. Straight up, in my
every day life, I spend 85% of my time stuck behind a f*cking computer either
working the site or screenplays; so yeah its freaking AMAZING to go to a
Fest like Sitges and basically get to socialize, PR and party with your peers for like 12 days
straight. It does the body and the soul good! Pass it on!

To 100 FEET baby!

In closing, I’d like to put out a big THANK
YOU to the SITGES TEAM for giving me yet another INCREDIBLE experience. Every
year SITGES tops itself and every year I’m baffled as to how they pull it off.
Props! Now
scroll down for a retrospective of the content and of course my SITGES PICTURE
GALLERY.
