I suppose it's not all smiles, sunshine, and unicorn farts being an Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D., but these new cast-photos for the show's upcoming third season look positively dour. Included are Clark Gregg as Director Phil Coulson, Ming-Na Wen as Agent Melinda May, Chloe Bennet as Agent Daisy Johnson, Brett Dalton as Grant Ward, Iain De Caestecker as Agent Leo Fitz, Elizabeth Henstridge as Agent Jemma Simmons, Nick Blood as Agent Lance Hunter, Adrianne Palicki as Agent Bobbi Morse, Henry Simmons as Agent Alphonso “Mack” MacKenzie, Luke Mitchell as Lincoln Campbell, and Constance Zimmer as Rosalind Price.

If you're looking for more Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. goodness, make sure to check out Chloe Bennet's snazzy new hero suit which was revealed earlier this week. The actress said that the suit was a dream come true as she "was never really interested in being the princess. I was more into being someone who kicked ass and was a superhero." Me too Chloe, me too.
The first episode of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s third season, titled “Laws of Nature," will kick things off with a bang:
Director Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg) and Agent Daisy Johnson (Chloe Bennet) leading the charge as S.H.I.E.L.D. searches the world for more powered people in the aftermath of their epic battle with Jiaying and her army of Inhumans. However, Coulson and the team soon find out that they are not the only group looking for these new Inhumans. When Coulson and the team discover a new Inhuman, S.H.I.E.L.D. comes face to face with another organization searching for powered people. And still reeling from Simmons’ dramatic disappearance, Fitz goes to extreme lengths to try to learn how to get her back.
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. returns on September 29th on ABC.
