The Amazing Spider-Man was not Sally Field’s kind of movie

We all know someone who really did not like THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN set of films. In fact, for fans, it becomes more difficult to find people who actually loved those movies than did not. However, you still can be surprised when someone really expresses their dislike for the film so outwardly, especially when that someone was involved with the film.

Sally Field recently made an appearance on The Howard Stern Show, where she was asked about THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN and let's just say her kind demeanor at least somewhat softens the blow of her disdain for the series.

It's not my kind of movie. But my friend Laura Ziskin was the producer, and we knew it would be her last film, and she was my first producing partner, and she was a spectacular human.

It's really hard to find a three-dimensional character in it, and you work it as much as you can, but you can't put ten pounds of shit in a five-pound bag.

And now we know the reasons for Sally Field signing on to play Aunt May in the first place.

Quick math question though – between both films, how many pounds of poop exactly makes up THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 1 and 2? Anyone?
