The Avengers expanding to 1700 screens for Labor Day weekend with a possible post-credits surprise

Disney is doing everything that they can to ensure that THE AVENGERS takes over that number two all-time box office rank from TITANIC. Being only $40 million away, something tells me this move will put them over the top.
For Labor Day weekend, THE AVENGERS will be expanding to 1700 screens (currently it is only playing on 123) in an effort to get as much box office as they can before the DVD/Blu-ray release on September 25th.
It should be noted that despite the new scenes that have been appearing online recently, this will not be a director's cut of THE AVENGERS, just a plain old cash-grab...I mean, re-release. The interesting item is that the image posted on THE AVENGERS Facebook page comes with a caption asking fans to make sure they stay until after the credits. Pretty much everyone knows about the Thanos scene and the scene of the super team eating together, so could this be something new? A look at Phase Two? Who knows. As you know from reading my UnPopular Opinion on the film, I will not be shelling out to see it just to find out.
What do you think of this re-release move? Worth it or not?

As much as I love this movie...
nothing new
Let's face it, if they really wanted to bring in the big bucks they'd let everyone know there's something new to see and the fans would get in line again. Phantom Menace 3D proved that by just offering a closer look at a crappy movie.

Is it just me....
Iron-Man 3 teaser for post-credit surprise?
The Avengers was a lot of fun, but it was nowhere near the best movie I saw all summer. Well, it was kinda near, like in the fifth or sixth place. But not THAT near. I'd be real happy to see it take second place all time domestic box office from the

You're hilarious, Alex Maidy
That movie kicked ass. I'll see it again.
