The Babysitter starring Bella Thorne premieres on Netflix this October

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

Say what you will about the upcoming slasher flick THE BABYSITTER I'm excited to check the film out. Sure it stars Bella Thorne, and sure it is directed by McG, but all the same, I dig the movie's premise and we all know babysitters and horror go together like bacon and bloody eggs.

With that in mind, we're excited to share the news that Netflix has just announced that THE BABYSITTER will premiere on their streaming service Friday, October 13th.

One of the reason's I'm looking forward to the film is because it is written by Brian Duffield, who wrote the Natalie Portman home invasion western JANE GOT A GUN. Now while that ended up being a mediocre flick (to say the least) Duffield's script is one of my favorites. Plus his script for this movie snagged the top spot of the Blacklist back in 2014.

What do you think of THE BABYSITTER thus far? Are you excited to check it out this Friday the 13th? Let us know in the comments below or on Facebook, Twitter, and/or Instagram!

THE BABYSITTER synopsis:

A lonely, 12-year-old boy who falls in love with his hot babysitter only to discover that she’s part of a satanic cult that wants to kill him.

THE BABYSITTER is directed by McG from a script by Brian Duffield. The film stars Robbie Amell, Samara Weaving, Andrew Bachelor, Hana Mae Lee, and Judah Lewis.
