The Clash at Demonhead is here! Listen to their first song from Scott Pilgrim

Word on the street is that SCOTT PILGRIM VS. THE WORLD is good shit. Viewers who have read the comics and digests say the film nails the material.

Aside from Scott fighting Ramona’s seven deadly ex-boyfriends, the other core part of the story is music. Scott is in a band called Sex Bob-Omb with his friends Stephen Stills and Kim Pine. In the second digest, which is titled the same as the feature film, Scott gets a call from Envy Adams to open for her band, The Clash at Demonhead. In college, Envy broke Scott’s heart which devastated him.

The Clash at Demonhead is a fairly popular rising band. Knives Chau, groupie for Sex Bob-Omb and one time girlfriend of Scott is in love with Demonhead saying at one point that they are, “so deep”. Scott is frustrated by their popularity and vows to, “destroy her [Envy’s] stupid pretentious crappy art school poser band”. He’s quite bitter.

A band some of you may know called Metric will be the ones providing the music for The Clash at Demonhead. Today the first song, which plays a pivotal role in the movie was debuted by Metric on their facebook page. Now you have to become a fan to listen to the song, but I can guarantee that it is worth a listen, especially if you are a fan of the Scott Pilgrim series. Head over here to listen to the track entitled, “Black Sheep”.
