Remember when THE FINAL DESTINATION came out and they titled it THE FINAL DESTINATION stressing that it would be the definitive final installment in the franchise? Yeah well, they were just kidding. While speaking about the future of 3D at ShoWest yesterday, Warner Bros. president Alan Horn confirmed that a fifth FINAL DESTINATION film is in the works in 3D.

Because this came as a comment at a press conference no details were given to back up the statement and nothing is known about the sequel. But what really do you need to know? A new group of teens will cheat death and then be picked off one-by-one in increasingly gruesome and 3D ways.

I've always found the DESTINATION movies to be the least offensive of the perpetuating horror films that somewhat needlessly repeat themselves. They're at least having fun, which is more than I can say for SAW. We're digging around as I write this trying to find more info on FINAL DESTINATION 5 so as soon as I hear more, I'll share it with you here.

I can dig it....
Although a movie is kind of pointless at this point... Instead get the crew who made Heavy Rain to recreate the first four movies, and you as the survivors. Potentially, you can save everyone (although the collateral damage would be pretty heavy), but you won't know how until you've played through it like 3 times (you know you wanna kill everyone the first playthough, and the second time you...

As an added bonus, they have a good twenty to forty deaths saved into the game, and the only way to see them is to play through the final story...yours! You upload a pic of yourself and four of your friends, and the game creates your characters from it.

I actually like the first 3. While 1 was the best movie, 2 had the best death scenes. I'm neutral on this because I was kinda disappointed in the last one and I think part of the reason is because the forced 3D scenes.

I dont understand.
I am not surprised, that this isnt the final movie of the series...I seriously dont see the point of making another one...ooh lets get a whole new group of kids to cheat death! I dont understand why another Final Destination got the Green light.

dont they realize the series is sucking now? i mean, sure they keep making more money,but they're crap. So i guess they just care about the money.

Tidbit - Crossover
Crossover should be Bubba Ho-Tep vs. The Final destination. Because getting old in a nursing home is the real final destination.

Fantastic! I'm a huge fan of this series and I have to admit, the last one was disappointing. I'm a person who gives a second chance and every franchise has a bad movie so let's hope this fifth film will actually turn out at least better than the last one. I'm so excited!!!!

I knew it and said all allond that this wasn't the last Final film and I really doubt they'll stop at 5, as long as people go out and see these film they're gonna keep making them.

was utter trash. The movie sucked, the kills sucked, the 3D was shit. At least the chicks were hot. I LOVE the first 3, but the last one... trash. Made me swear off 3D flicks forever. Screw a new one, and screw 3D... and screw that one hot chick from the last one. Which one? Meh... she was hot, whatever.

I enjoy the movies once in a while... but as they have gone on and on they have just gotten the same! I saw the last one in theaters and it wasn't bad, creative kills, and really from these movies, Creative Kills is all this movie is about! I love the Saw flicks cuz there is an underlying Story there that carries each flick.. and i am holding out hope for when the final installments come out...
I enjoy the movies once in a while... but as they have gone on and on they have just gotten the same! I saw the last one in theaters and it wasn't bad, creative kills, and really from these movies, Creative Kills is all this movie is about! I love the Saw flicks cuz there is an underlying Story there that carries each flick.. and i am holding out hope for when the final installments come out that we will get some bad ass connecting twist that makes you go "Holy shit"!



Having said all that.. i will still see a new FInal Destination in theaters!

The Final Destination was terrible, I'm a huge fan of the first 3 films. The first being one of my favorite horror films. The 3D just ruined it for me, in the earlier films one of the things that I loved was the work that was put into making the deaths look realistic. Only in some ways because obviously there was use of CGI, but they still didn't look extremely fake. In "The Final Destination"...
The Final Destination was terrible, I'm a huge fan of the first 3 films. The first being one of my favorite horror films. In "The Final Destination" the deaths were ruined by the use of 3D and it doesn't compare to te other 3. At least parts 2 and 3 were entertaining films that I enjoyed. I'm really dissapointed to hear this news cuz they're just ruining the series.
