American Horror Story: Coven

A couple weeks ago, American Horror Story creator Ryan Murphy confirmed that Taissa Farmiga, Gabourey Sidibe, Lily Rabe, Frances Conroy, and Stevie Nicks would be reprising their roles from the Coven season of the anthology series in the upcoming season, American Horror Story: Apocalypse… a casting confirmation that was, for the most part, very much expected, since Apocalypse is being hyped as a crossover between the Coven and Murder House seasons.

Now Murphy has shared a couple behind the scenes images that show the actresses named above on set, back in action as their Coven characters and hanging out with fellow witches / returning cast members Emma Roberts and Sarah Paulson. If you were a fan of Coven, the images embedded below will probably be a cool sight to see.

Also in the cast of Apocalypse are Evan Peters, Kathy Bates, Adina Porter, Cheyenne Jackson, Billy Eichner, Leslie Grossman, Billie Lourd, Jeffrey Bowyer-Chapman, Kyle Allen, and Joan Collins, with Jessica Lange reprising her Murder House role of Constance Langdon and Cody Fern as an older version of the Anti-Christ child introduced in that season.

Executive producer Alexis Martin Woodall has said that the story of Apocalypse begins with the end of the world. Murphy has described the season as being

very high concept. It’s a season unlike anything we’ve done because there’s a big hook to it. There’s a huge thing that happens in episode five."

American Horror Story: Apocalypse is set to premiere on FX in just over three weeks, on Wednesday, September 12th.

The Return. Cordelia, Stevie and Misty casting a bewitching spell.
