The new film from Bong Joon Ho, OKJA, has been getting a lot of attention in recent months, thanks in part to the ensemble cast and mystery around the big, friendly creature that must be found young protagonist. We’ve seen images of the whole cast, and thanks to the official trailer we now have a full view of the adorable pig/hippo creature.
Behold and go “awwww!”
What starts out seeming like a perfectly family-friendly movie about a child and their…pet, the trailer quickly shifts gears and starts to feel like something else entirely. It’s like a gotta-find-my-friend adventure flick meshed with a heist movie with Tilda Swinton adding in doses of lunacy. I feel like I have to watch it now out of fear of missing something truly unique.
OKJA with Swinton, Jake Gyllenhaal, Paul Dano, Lily Collins, Steven Yeun and Ahn Seo-hyun debuts on Netflix on June 28.
