The Dark Knight returns in the trailer for the M-rated Batman: Arkham Knight

You gamers and Batman fans are probably already aware, but Rocksteady's brilliant Batman trilogy comes to a close this June with Batman: Arkham Knight. While we're still 3 months away from one of the most visually stunning video games to hit consoles (and PC), Rocksteady just released the latest trailer, showing us Scarecrow uniting the Rogues Gallery, including Two-Face, The Penguin, the Riddler, Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy, and the titular Arkham Knight, as they bring all-out war to Gotham City to claim the town and take down The Dark Knight, once and for all.

We have a ways to go until BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE hits theaters and if the first two Arkham games are any indication, this game will MORE than tide fans over until next year. Hell, I'd even say that the stories in these games rival most (if not all) of the Batman flicks. Now, if only the first new solo Batman flick were to model itself after Arkham Asylum, and be directed by Batfleck himself . . . well, that would just be all sorts of exciting!

Batman: Arkham Knight hits PS4, X-Box One, and PC on June 2, 2015.
