The Dark Knight Rises sees the release of a slightly more detailed plot synopsis
Christopher Nolan has managed to maintain most of the mystery surrounding the characters and events of THE DARK KNIGHT RISES, and a part of that success is the simple result that nobody really quite knows what's exactly going on in terms of the film's plot.
Now while this newly-released synopsis isn't going to change that as it says nothing that you couldn't have discerned from the trailers and TV spots, it's still nice to see even the basic logline spelled out. Unless you're trying to avoid knowing even a single thing about THE DARK KNIGHT RISES, in which case this would be the time to back away slowly and find anything else to occupy your attention.
"It has been eight years since Batman vanished into the night, turning, in that instant, from hero to fugitive. Assuming the blame for the death of D.A. Harvey Dent, the Dark Knight sacrificed everything for what he and Commissioner Gordon both hoped was the greater good. For a time the lie worked, as criminal activity in Gotham City was crushed under the weight of the anti-crime Dent Act.
But everything will change with the arrival of a cunning cat burglar with a mysterious agenda. Far more dangerous, however, is the emergence of Bane, a masked terrorist whose ruthless plans for Gotham drive Bruce out of his self-imposed exile. But even if he dons the cape and cowl again, Batman may be no match for Bane."
|Extra Tidbit:||I can't quite decide how I feel when thinking about that future time when I longer have to report on this film.|
