The faces of comedy

Premiere magazine’s new online incarnation Premiere.com has compiled a list of the hottest names in this new wave of comedy that is overtaking Hollywood. The list includes the stable of stars that’s has risen courtesy of Judd Apatow and house of regulars, as well as stars emerging from NBC’s breakout hit THE OFFICE, and inexplicably (to me) Dane Cook. I hate to be a cliché by railing on Cook, but I truly don’t get his appeal as a comedian. An actor, fine, but not a comedian. It’s a good list, and confirms what I’ve realized, that Hollywood is undergoing a comedic revolution, with the likes of people like Andy Samberg, Will Arnett, and Bill Hader who are just always classic every time they hit the screen.
