The final trailer for John Carter features more action and villains!

Feb. 28, 2012by: Paul Shirey

JOHN CARTER will arrive next week as the studio holds its breath in hopes that it doesn't sink at the box office. Personally, I think the overwhelmingly positive reviews thus far and word of mouth will carry it to a moderate success at a minimum. It has the potential to soar, but that will depend on one thing: If it's actually good or not.

Check out the final trailer here, which showcases more action and villains than we've seen thus far:

And, in case you missed it, here's the five-minute long scene of JOHN CARTER vs. the white apes, plus a sizzle reel:

Ultimately, if none of these promotional pushes convince you to see the film, then nothing will. While Disney may not have hit every mark for the advertising of the film, they've shown quite a bit to entice people in.  Now, it's all up to you.

If you're sold on JOHN CARTER (as I am) then you can take a trip to Barsoom when it opens on March 9, 2012.

Extra Tidbit: Perhaps instead of writing off everyone who visits a movie site or makes a fan made trailer/poster as a nerd in their parent's basement, the studios should start paying heed, especially when the "nerd" work is better than the pros.

I love how, with every new incredible trailer/teaser John Carter keeps dealing out "fuck you's" to every hater.

Granted, I was 1 of them when I first heard of this but after so much fucking coolness, it's impossible not to be tickled.

I remember the book from when I was a kid and personally I'm really looking forward to it. And yeah, I think it's chances of making its money back are slim, but is that really a call to shit on it?

What is it with people these day. You can't please them. They whinge about all those Tyler Perry crapfests. They whinge about all the found footage shit. The howl about prequels. They cry about sequels but when Hollywood tries to do an original story what do they do..... They pick fault before the fucker is even released. For fuck sake people don't ruin the original stories by not supporting them otherwise all we're going to get is (refer to beginning of rant).

Mars Needs Ticket Sales!

I generally love the sci-fi genre and here's to hoping Disney has made a good call with the big budget they gave the filmmakers. Early reviews are promising. I hope that word of mouth does help to get people out to see this film. A good, successful John Carter hopefully means more big screen sci-fi adaptations in the future. Count me in!

I feel like a rubber-necker when it comes to this movie. I troll the articles to see how bad everyone thinks this potential train-wreck is going to be!!
