The first promo poster for Transformers 4 hits and it's evil

The "final" TRANSFORMERS film may not be dropping until 2014, but that doesn't mean that we won't be slapped in the face with marketing materials.

It's hard to deny the fact that the TRANSFORMERS films make some heavy cash. Michael Bay was like, "I don't want to do another Transformers movie, but I like money." I'm sure he really loves doing the movies too, but I'd be ready to move on after three films containing the same subject. Right now, he's in the middle of directing PAIN AND GAIN with The Rock and Mark Wahlberg, which I think will be good.

So you don't forget about it, a promo poster for TRANSFORMERS 4 has been unleashed upon the masses. It might be corny, but I kind of like the "Evil will burn" tagline.

You guys. As if the stupid tagline didn't make it obvious enough, the fact that it's a bad photoshop job of a promo image from the first movie gives away the fact that it's fake.

A "bad photoshop job"? You serious? What passes as good photoshop these days? I'm genuinely curious, because this poster makes that promo image look more real and less cartoony. That's impressive IMO, especially if that promo was the source, considering he has a slightly different pose. His right arm is different, as are his shoulders and there are obvious added parts to him without them looking cut and pasted.

Fan made or not, those two photos are completely different. The pose is similar, but a different angle, so no, that is not the "source" of this poster.

BTW, all posters, real or fan made, are "photoshop jobs."

maybe the studio got the idea for their poster from that fan made one, or they hired the artist to make them another one.

This seems too soon to me. But I don't think it matters. Everybody will hate on it. Bay does action masterfully, he just needs better writers. And "better" is an understatement.
