The full list of Golden Globe winners! Affleck! Tarantino! Waltz! Costner!

Jan. 13, 2013by: Paul Shirey

The 2013 Golden Globes has come to a close with some great surprises and expected wins.  Overall, it was a well-structured show, with hosts Tina Fey and Amy Poehler delivering just enough fun and zip to keep the festivities moving along.  Some notable appearances, especially by Jodie Foster, who received the Cecil B. DeMille award, giving a moving and personal speech, and another introspective speech from Kevin Costner for his win for best actor for Hatfield and McCoys.  Even an ex-President (Bill Clinton) showed up.

The biggest surprise is certainly Ben Affleck's double win for director and best picture for ARGO, which I think everyone expected ZERO DARK THIRTY or LINCOLN to take the best drama and Kathryn Bigelow to take director.  Overall, a fun and lively show with some solid wins (Jennifer Lawrence! Quentin Tarantino) and some snubs (nothing for MOONRISE KINGDOM??).

My apologies

1. For the repeat posts

2. When I meant Lincoln will win everything come February, I did not mean that as a jab at Argo. I want Argo to win best picture because the only award Lincoln deserves is actor, which it will get. I just think it is going to be a safe choice for the voters and it will sweep everything.

Congrats Ben and a damn shame you are not in the running for the Oscars.

I wanted Jessica Lange to win

but Julianna Moore did an awesome job as well so I am happy for her. Also, to be picky, Sarah Paulson was nominated for Game Change, not American Horror Story, so you might want to fix it. It doesn't really matter though because she didn't win but whatever haha.

Glad to see Jennifer Lawrence win a globe. Hers was the standout performance in Silver Linings Playbook.

I thought Watts was the front runner for Best Actress, but it seems that Chastain is picking up all the rewards.

What a great list of winners! I haven't seen Les Mis yet, but I'm a fan of both Hugh Jackman and Anne Hathaway, so I'm happy for them. And it's really nice to see Ben Affleck getting some love, as he is quickly becoming one of Hollywood's top talents.

I have no complaints. Good group of winners. Not that interested in Les Mis, but I can't complain about those who won the award for it. I am quite glad to see Argo and Django doing so well. After getting snubbed from the Oscars, it's nice Affleck has an award to take for the film. And pleased about Christoph Waltz take home an award, he really deserved it.

Idk why ppl thought kat Bigelow and zero dark were going to walk away with the awards. Way overrated film! Plus the academy & HFP, won't give her an award for the same shit as hurt locker. Hurt locker was better, and got her the award. Good for Argo! I was rooting for Django but I can live with Argo.

Glad to see Waltz take it home for Django Unchained for Best Supporting.

I was rooting for Danny Huston to win for Best Supporting for Magic City. He is brilliant on the show and the perfect balance to Jeffrey Dean Morgan's Ike Evans.

Argo

So happy that Argo won for Best Drama and that Affleck won for Best Director. I really hope Argo takes home Best Picture at the Oscars, but I don't know what to think about the Oscars anymore since Affleck one of the BIGGEST snubs of all time. But in happy for Affleck and everyone else on the Argo team.

Happy to see Tarantino win for Best Screenplay, for Hugh Jackman winning for Best Actor in a Musical or comedy, and Jennifer Lawrence and Jessica Chastain for winning Best Actress for Best

Great show from the Golden Globes for once. I feel months from now, we will look back and think to ourselves how much better it was than the Oscars!

Hooray for Ben Affleck, Quentin Tarantino, Jessica Chastain, "Argo", Adele!

Yay for Affleck! Boo For Les Miserables!

I am very pleased that Affleck and 'Argo' were deservedly given the big awards, but I am baffled by all this love for 'Les Miserables'. I haven't seen such an anti-cinematic film, maybe ever!

I'm really happy that Argo and Affleck got the recognition it did, and that Hugh Jackman and Anne Hathaway won for Les Miserables. Tina Fey and Amy Poehler's opening monologue was hilarious! Sacha Baron Cohen's tirade was a mite mean-spirited but hey, I'd expect nothing less from Borat, and I loved when he ribbed Russell Crowe for his singing.,

THE FLECK !!

Wow I genuinely mega-cheered in front of the show when Affleck got his award. I guess the Academy can suck it.
Also, Will Ferrell and Kristen Wiig were pretty damn' funny.
I still think the HFPA is shit but at least I'm pretty happy about the winners for once.
